About

My healing journey began about 30 years ago. I am a survivor of childhood sexual violence. I suffered greatly in my teens and twenties with depression, addiction and bulimia. One day I found a book on Reiki in a local bookstore. I soon became a practitioner and began to give myself regular treatments. My natural essence of love, light, peace, joy and abundance began to show itself as my vibration increased and the limiting beliefs that held my life back for so long dissolved. Along with the energy shifts, my life shifted dramatically. I regained my health, the addictions and depression faded away. I began to have fulfilling relationships. I met my husband and started a family. Life got fun!

Treatment Modalities

I’ve been a Reiki practitioner since 1993 and a Reiki Master since 2011. I am also an EDINA practitioner since 2020, which stands for Energy Dynamics for the Integration of Natural Attributes. EDINA works directly with the light body and our ascension as humans. I am a wisdom coach, utilizing my life coaching skills (Rapid Coaching Academy) and the wisdom that I’ve gained with over 25 years of dedicated work on my personal journey of recovery from childhood sexual assault. I also work with the Divine Mother and channel spiritual healing from her, the ascended masters and Archangels.

Experience

I worked for a few years as an advocate and crisis counselor for sexual violence survivors at YWCA Sexual Assault Crisis Service in New Britain, CT, supporting over 100 survivors with crisis counseling, safety planning, accompaniments to hospitals, police and the courts. I’ve done extensive outreach to create awareness and education around sexual violence. I’ve created programs to educate survivors on how to overcome sexual violence. I left my advocacy position because I felt there was a piece missing which was energy medicine. Most recently, I created The Living Light Program, a holistic system that addresses sexual trauma through body, mind and soul that allows for deep healing. It includes The Light Box with tools for spiritual awakening such as oracle cards, affirmation cards, a custom essential oil, etc.

My Interest in Working with Survivors

As a survivor thriver, I’ve seen how survivors suffer and I believe that we all deserve to live joyful and fulfilling lives.

My Approach to Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma-informed care is recognizing how to address trauma without re-traumatizing the person. I practice it by not asking someone to retell their story, to meet them where they are at each moment, and practice compassionate inquiry. While I do offer in person sessions, most of the sessions are on Zoom or phone. If I see that a survivor is feeling triggered, I will offer techniques such as breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises and/or the opportunity to step away and take a breather. If being on Zoom is difficult, I can offer connecting by phone or text.

How My Practice Holistically Addresses the Impacts of Sexual Trauma

I created The Living Light Program to address the mind, body and spirit. It is a curated program, individual to each person to address shame, guilt, addiction, stress, anxiety, depression, chronic physical illness, difficult relationships, energy imbalances, energetic cords and contracts, limited beliefs, low vibration, lack of self-esteem, and so much more that can be typically experienced by a survivor. But more than that, it addresses the disconnection from our infinite identity as a spirit having a physical experience on Earth. This is ultimately a spiritual journey.

Modifications for Survivors

Since The Living Light program is created specifically for survivors, safety, privacy, ease of use, deep compassion, and flexibility, are a large part of it.

Accountability Statement

My practice is held accountable and supervised by my mentor, an LMFT and Reiki Master. I also attend continued education courses with The YWCA Sexual Assault Crisis Service, The Alliance To End Sexual Violence and The Women’s Consortium in CT. On occasion, I consult with Reiki Masters and energy medicine practitioners that I keep in contact with. However, my greatest guidance comes from the guides of those I serve and my divine teachers on the other side of the veil.

Payment Options

I offer multiple payment options and once per quarter, offer a scholarship.
