Integrating Trauma-Informed Care within the Healing Arts

Join The Breathe Network for this specialized and experiential training on trauma-informed care, geared to healing arts and wellness practitioners who seek to enhance their work with survivors of sexual violence and trauma.

integrating trauma-informed care
Drawing from personal testimony, cutting-edge research and professional insights, our team will provide an in-depth conversation about the impacts of sexual trauma, along with the tools and resources to assist participants in fostering a trauma-informed environment for the people they serve in a variety of healing arts, wellness and advocacy settings.

The training will include interactive presentations from practitioners of the following modalities – holistic psychotherapy, yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic and reiki. Each presenter will share how these practices can meet the unique mind-body-soul needs of survivors and how they may be modified and delivered most effectively to support trauma resilience.

Presenters Include –

Courtney Cobbs (Reiki)

Molly Boeder Harris (Yoga)

Melissa Farran (Acupuncture)

Ryan Maher (Holistic Psychotherapy)

Dr. Stephanie Maj (Chiropractic)

Cost – $60 for training day and training manual (we will also offer a number of partial scholarships)
